Welcome...

Welcome to my new blog!  Thirty hit like a ton of bricks with the list of "should haves" along with it - you know the one - by 30 you should have a handsome man, cute babies to carry around on your hip, while keeping a home that puts Martha Stewart to shame, a flawless figure and the latest coif and you do some incredible passionate work that you run effortlessly on the side. This blog is about helping women who don't have those things, or their life is a bit more chaotic than they would like to admit, or perhaps they don't want the cultural "should haves" and wonder how to create and thrive at a life that is totally their own.

For me (P.S. I'm Sarah, the voice behind this she-tribe), 30 happened in early April, and although I'd been looking forward to it for months, suddenly I felt the big questions stirring:

Is this all there is?

I have a part time job as a manager of a non-profit that helps youth find their spark - their passion - which I'm excited about, but sometimes I wonder, where's the passion in my life?

My days are filled with work, reading blogs about gutsy women who are living their dream, visiting with friends and family and snuggling my cat, and somehow in the midst of that I realized I've lost my groove. I'd quite working out, or even focusing on how my body needs to be gluten free, or really doing much of anything that stirred my soul. It's a perfectly comfortable life, but I'd like a little more zing, a little more sass and a whole lot more joie de vivre!

Hence, this blog was born - a blog about finding your groove, or getting it back; remember that fabulous movie "How Stella Got Her Groove Back?" well this is how Sarah is getting hers back!)

I know I'm not the only one who needs a little self-revolutionizing...

How is your groove?
